For Webelos, we get to do an outdoorsman activity pin that in order to pass it off, the boys need to go camping, hiking, cook outside, know fire safety and stuff like that. Since this month is the Father and Sons outing, we are also passing off the other things needed for this pin. I was excited about the outdoor cooking portion since, we have the perfect place in our backyard for a fire pit. So, last night, Bryan dug the fire pit and we put concrete things around it and we were able to have our first fire. Our Webelos cooked eggs in orange peels, hot dogs, smores, and baked apples. It was a great time! (I wouldn't recommend the eggs in the orange peels though, they didn't like those so well.)
